Deposit: We require a three night non-refundable deposit to hold your Maui vacation rental reservation. Full payment is due eight weeks prior to your arrival date. Bookings made within eight weeks of arrival require full payment to secure your reservation. The deposit is non-refundable unless the time is resold. No refunds are made for unused nights, regardless of cause. This includes late arrival or earlier departure. We strongly recommend that you purchase Trip Insurance, which is available through several agencies. VRBO.com, the largest Rental By Owner site, recommends Insuremytrip.com.
Rates: Our rates are quoted per night. In addition, we collect Hawaii Accommodation taxes. Any other charges that might incur through the front desk such as extra housekeeping, cribs or Beach Activities are paid through the Desk. Please settle your bill with the office the night before your departure. Any unsettled bills will be charged automatically to the credit card that you used to reserve your unit combined with a twenty percent (20%) service fee.
Check-in & Check-out: Check-in time is 2 PM. Check-out time is 10 AM. Late checkouts are subject to availability and are at the sole discretion of the front desk. If you have a late flight out, i.e. after 6 PM, we recommend you book the unit for an extra day if you wish to ensure your ability to remain in the unit. Check-in service is at front desk until 5pm. Special arrangements will be made if you are planning to arrive late.
Minimum Stay: Minimum stay is 5 nights. Occasionally, last minute reservations for shorter stays of 3 or 4 nights may be taken subject to availability. These bookings are subject to an additional checkout cleaning fee of $155.
Cleaning: Seven-day rentals include one midweek cleaning with fresh towels and sheets. Fresh towels are also available from the desk during your stay. Beach towels are not included. Our unit has a dishwasher, washer and dryer and vacuum cleaner for your use. Your Maui beachfront rental fee includes check out cleaning, but if excessive cleaning is necessary due to spots on the walls, food left in the unit that has attracted insects or deodorizing due to smoking in the unit, you will forfeit all or a portion of your security deposit and/or the credit card on file for your rental will be charged.
Bedding: Our home has two King sized beds and a Queen bed. Cribs are available through the front desk for a small fee. Let me know in advance if you would like a crib, and I will notify the office to make one available before your arrive. We limit our unit to four adults, or a family of five. If you have more guests, I will try to help you find an additional unit at Puunoa or nearby. Maximum Occupancy is six guests (including children). If you arrive with more guests than we have contracted for, you will be asked to vacate and your deposit will not be refunded.
Furnishings: Please respect our home and be kind to the furnishings. Our Maui vacation rental has luxurious new furniture for your enjoyment. Please report any damage or problems promptly to the manager.
Smoking: Smoking is prohibited at almost every public area in Maui. Smoking is permitted outside on the back lanai, but please be aware of other guests. Please do not smoke in our home. If any guest smokes in the unit, you will be charged for deodorizing the unit at checkout.
Security: Because our unit is on the second floor, we feel comfortable leaving the oceanfront lanai sliding doors open when we are in the unit. Please use common sense about your security - lock the front door and leave your expensive jewelry and cash at home. Our unit has a room safe with a key available from the front desk without additional cost. We are not responsible for any losses that you might incur.
Household Items & Appliances: Our unit is privately owned and decorated. Furnishings and amenities are provided by our discretion and are subject to change. Please do not remove linen, dishes or other items from the unit, as they belong to us and not the property. The guest is liable for additional charges resulting from any damage, lost items or excessive checkout cleaning. Owner is not responsible for lost or stolen items.
Occasionally an appliance or system in the unit will become non operable. Please report this condition immediately to the manager. We will make every effort to resolve this problem as quickly as possible, but please remember that you are staying on an island that is already six hours behind East coast time and it may take as long as a week to order and receive a replacement part. Unless the system failure makes the unit unusable, we will not terminate the rental or make adjustments to the rent.
Owner Liability: Problems rarely occur, but should such a situation arise whereby your accommodations become unavailable for reasons beyond our control including, but not limited to, strikes, acts of God, or failure of guests to vacate as scheduled, Owner's liability to Guest is limited to the return of the unused portion of the Guest's deposit.
